Have any of you Twitter fans ever wondered why people put # signs into their post?  Twitter calls them #hashtags and the reason people use them is to better help track different topics or tweets about topics within the Twitter realm.  For those that Tweet consistently and Tweet often about certain topics, using a #hashtag with a phrase would be quite beneficial for you.  It will allow you to track all that you have Tweeted about on specific topics along with others.  #hashtags are also a great way to create conversation and can be used for contests or other such things.  There is a great website called Twubs that allow you to maximize your use of #hashtags.  Check it out, I don't think you will be disappointed.  And remember, don't forget the hash... tag that is!
