As I have begun exploring different ways to connect with people through new and exciting ways, I have discovered a site that allows you to stream live video of yourself as you dialogue with people through a chat room or via twitter. The site is called USTREAM and it is really quite fascinating. It is free to set up an account with them and before you know it, you are able to begin a conversation with people around the world as you select the topic of your choice. Although at first it seems a little awkward to video yourself as you answer questions through a chat room, but once you get the hang out it you will be spreading your influence throughout the world. So as you attempt to step outside your normal sphere of life, take a chance on letting people dialogue with you on things that you are passionate about and say what you couldn't say in 140 or less! Times are changing and new and innovative opportunities are all around us. All we have to do is take a chance and see where these new and exciting technological advances will takes us!
On a quick side note, if you are a teacher of any sorts I personally think this site is especially for you. Having a chance once or twice a week to dialogue with students while at home to answer different questions and what not could be extremely beneficial for your students learning. Just a thought!
