Blackberry: Storm 2 On The Prowl
It's been a little over two months now or so since I got my new Blackberry Curve 8330. I was hesitant to get it because I knew the Tour was coming out soon but was sick of my Storm. So I decided to dump the Storm and get the top selling Blackberry, the Curve. Now pic are starting to surface for the new
Blackberry Storm, the Storm 2. Physically you can see some cool features. The main one is that the four hot keys at the bottom are now apart of the main screen where as before they we separate from the screen itself. I do think this will help its over all function but to be honest, as long as the touch screen is a clickboard, its not worth it! The fact that you have to push the screen in on the Storm made it way too slow and not worth the hype. If the screen was a normal, solid touch screen, I think the Storm would be just as good as the iPhone. I will be interested to get my hands on the new Storm but most likely will continue to stick with my Curve. The speed and weight is amazing and the OS has worked flawlessly the whole time I have owned the phone! Word to ya mother!

I gave the Storm a whirl and was not a fan of the touch screen at all. I have been a Curve devotee for some time now and will stick to that until they enhance the touchability of the Storm screen. I do think they will bring greater things to the Blackberry though.

The Storm 2 looks pretty sweet. What’s the word on the “App-friendly-ness” (I just made that up!) of the Storm 2? I understand that are plenty of Apps for Blackberry, however, I do know a few people who have the Curve but are sour towards the iPhone and Pre due to the ease of use with a touchscreen.

In the land of Blackberry, I think the Storm is the best when it comes to apps. The touch screen allows way more apps than the traditional BB’s do. But in comparison to the iPhone the apps suck and they don’t have nearly as much free apps as the iPhone does. Both the Pre and the iPhone though have great touch screens. I think Blackberry had a great thought when it came to the click-touch pad…. but from a users stand point, it was a big flop! That is why I keep my iTouch handy : )

Oh, you poor deluded man. When will you wake up and realize you’re splitting hairs about the second best smartphone available?
